Preconstruction
SAW provides the following beneficial preconstruction services which assist the client in achieving a complete design that meets their needs:
* Constructability Reviews – detailed reviews of all plans, specifications, and documents; analysis of constructability, logistics, sequencing, compatibility of materials and systems; capability of 3-D Building Information Models.
* Estimating – utilization of the appropriate technological software to perform quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment costs; comparisons to historical cost data along with the latest industry cost data; incorporation of subcontractor and supplier estimates.
* Value Engineering – value analysis using past projects and subcontractor participation to explore alternative but equivalent materials and equipment; investigates different means and methods for installations; reviews different approaches to logistics and sequencing of activities.
* Scheduling – providing several options for schedules based on the clients project and needs including critical path method schedules and cost loaded schedule.
