Full-time Auditor
F/T Auditor sought by SAW Contracting, Inc. in Virginia Beach, VA. Prepare reports on audit findings & recommend changes. Inspect books, cash on hand, notes payable and receivable, security & accounting systems for accuracy, efficiency, & effectiveness. Evaluate financial & information systems. Work w/ CPA for tax purposes. Review accounts & journal entries. Develop & maintain budgets. Audit payroll & personnel records for compliance with tax & insurance. Process expense reports. Conduct weekly financial audits. Receive checks & deposits. Advise manager of reconciliations needed. Maintain current knowledge of fed. & state policies and regs. Cross train, assist estimating team, evaluate financial viability of subcontractors.
Job Reqs: Bach Deg. In Accounting + 24 mo. experience as accountant or equiv. role. Must have Microsoft Office Suite, accounting software, and project management software experience. Must be able to lift file, type, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on stool as necessary.
